Sustainable Solutions to the Honeybee Crisis

Join us to learn all about the plight of the honeybee and what can be done by beekeepers, gardeners, and community member to restore the bees to health, vibrancy, and vitality—with experienced biodynamic beekeepers Gunther Hauk and Alex Tuchman, Co-Directors of Spikenard Farm Honeybee Sanctuary in Floyd VA  $10 suggested donation.

SATURDAY, MARCH 3,  9:00 am - 4:00 pm Workshop

This workshop will provide a holistic understanding of the honeybee hive as an organism that is dynamically related to both the environment and the human being. From this perspective we can arrive at beekeeping methods that are based on a true understanding of the honeybee and which serve her needs.  Both the principles and practices of biodynamic beekeeping will be introduced in this workshop.

  1. Led by Gunther Hauk and Alex Tuchman.
  2. Fee: $45 - 65 sliding scale (pay what you fill you can afford)
